PE Resources

https://www.afpe.org.uk/thisispe-supporting-parents-to-teach-pe-at-home/ The Association for PE have created short videos to show parents free, fun and easy to follow activities for the whole family to enjoy together. The #ThisIsPE videos focus on different areas of the National Curriculum and are posted at 1pm on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can access a full list of the videos on YouTube here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYGRaluWWTojV3An2WEgsQ4qGFy_91jDL. They don't require sports equipment and offer a great opportunity for children to continue their skill development whilst learning from home.

Additionally, The Youth Sports Trust https://www.youthsporttrust.org/pe-home-learning, BBC Super Movers https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/supermovers and NHS Shake Up https://www.nhs.uk/10-minute-shake-up/shake-ups also have useful ideas and resources for exercising at home and are lots of fun too!

STEM Engineering Project

STEM have created a home learning project - 'If you were an engineer, what would you do?' It is free for children and young people aged 3-19. There are online interviews with engineers who will share their work experiences and answer your questions along with other activities to help you get thinking like an engineer! To get involved, follow this link to register (for free) https://leadersaward.com/resource-area-registration/. After registering, you will have access to all of their online resources, guides and information. The deadline for the project is September 10th 2020. This would be a great way to keep the children creative whilst working from home!
