PGL Liddington 2022

Our year 6 pupils have been very excited to go on their first residential trip at the PGL Liddington site in Wiltshire.

Day 1

This morning was filled with excitement and nervous energy as pupils came into school with backpacks, suitcases and wide smiles.

The coach journey to Liddington was great, and there were lots of rolling numbers, much to the delight of Mr Leonard. Abba music and singing was also heard as the coach went down the A41 and all pupils and staff were in good spirits. Thank you very much to Malcolm our coach driver who ensured everyone got to the site with no problems.

Ollie will be our group leader for the week, and he met everyone in the coach park and helped settle us in. Whilst there was a little difficulty carrying suitcases up the stairs, all in all Miss Ferdinand was very pleased that everyone was able to manage it. Some of those suitcases looked like there might be a few other pupils or parents hiding in them!

After orientation, there were games to be had and many a question asked about the gift shop and vending machines. Jasmine was great with the team games here and really got stuck in.  A little spare time was had, and then it was down to the dining room for dinner. Mrs Jones will be very pleased to see how well the children ate and cleared their plates. We will need to replicate this after half-term, back at school.

Our evening entertainment then involved orienteering in the dark. Lots of torchlight fun! William H was a superstar with this game and had clearly been studying the map of the centre before our arrival.

We are all hoping for a good night sleep tonight ready to enjoy the adventures that await tomorrow.
