Year 2 - Starling and Goldfinch

Key Information

PE Lessons: Mondays and Thursdays. PE kits are to be worn to school on these days.

Water bottles - Please ensure your child is bringing in a named water bottle every day.

Stationery - All stationary needed for daily lessons is provided by the school.

Reading Books - Reading books and Reading Records should be brought to school daily. We encourage children to read every night to support their phonics. Please ensure that once you have read a book, you comment and sign so we know if it has been read.

Homework

Homework tasks are set every Friday and need to be completed by the following Wednesday. Homework will be set using workbooks. Details regarding which pages to complete can be found in the front of the workbook. One English or Maths activity will be set each week. We will also send a Homework Bingo grid home every term with a range of optional activities to complete related to our learning at school.

New spelling lists will be set every Friday in the children’s green spelling books. Spellings will be tested in class the following Friday.
