I am pleased to welcome you to our website which I hope will provide you with an overview of who we are at St Christophers Academy.
The ethos at St Christophers is firmly built on relationships and trust and on a strong conviction that the individual lies at the heart of the school.
There is here, a tangible sense of shared values strongly held, and this is at the heart of what makes our diverse school vibrant, dynamic and distinctive.
We are not a large school and this, I feel, is our strength. We have a strong sense of community and have been described as a ‘village school within a town’ and it is this description that captures the very essence of our identity.
One of the most pleasing comments from our inspectors acknowledge these truths:
You have firmly established a set of agreed values to which both staff and pupils are expected to adhere. As a result, pupils behave very well in lessons and around the school and there is a sense of community and purpose throughout.
We strive to provide our children, not only with a first rate Primary education that prepares them well for their onward journey, but with fond lasting memories of their Primary years that will linger on.

BEST - Bedfordshire Schools Trust
St Christophers Academy is part of the Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) which is a learning community of two nurseries and ten schools, providing outstanding all-through 0-19 education.
BEST SCHOOLS & NURSERIES
The Bedfordshire Schools Trust – BEST – is a learning community of two nurseries and nine schools, providing outstanding education all-through 0-19. We believe that learning is continuous and that children are best served by clear, coherent and established educational pathways.
Our schools are centres of excellence and prized by the communities they serve. Our nurseries in Shefford and Arlesey work in partnership with our lower schools (Gothic Mede, Gravenhurst, Langford, Campton and Lawnside); primary school (St Christophers); middle school (Robert Bloomfield); extended secondary schools (Etonbury & Pix Brook); and upper school (Samuel Whitbread). Together, they drive improvement and nurture resilient and socially responsible life-long learners.
BEST offer a range of dedicated services, in place to support schools. Services include: Finance; Human Resources; Estates Management; IT and Communications.
They also have a vibrant teaching school, the Central Bedfordshire Teaching School Partnership (CBTSP), which delivers a comprehensive school improvement package to 138 schools across Central Bedfordshire and a SCITT, the Bedfordshire Schools Training Partnership, which provides both primary and secondary Initial Teaching Training (ITT) courses.
