Key Information

PE Days - Both classes have PE on Tuesdays and Fridays. Please ensure that your child has a full, named PE kit in school for these days. PE kits can be brought in at the beginning of the week and be left in school and then taken home on Fridays or left in school for the term. A list of the full PE kit required can be found on the website under Parents > School UniformPlease ensure that your child has black jogging bottoms and a school PE fleece or jumper to wear for PE as we are currently doing our lessons outside.

Homework - Homework is set every Friday and is due back to the teacher the following Wednesday. The objectives set will be based on something the children have been learning about in school that week. Sometimes, tasks set may involve research for future learning. Guidance for homework can be found on the inside cover of your child's homework book. Please note: For the first half term homework is currently being set each Friday on Purple Mash rather than in homework books. Please access the task in the 2do's section and complete for the following Wednesday. Thank you! If you need your child's log in details please contact your class teacher via email.

Reading Books - Reading books and records should be brought to school daily. We encourage children to read every night to support their phonics. Please ensure that once you have read a book, you comment and sign so we know if it has been read or not. This will also help us to see any particular words or sounds that your child is struggling with and needs to work on at school. If part of the book has been read at home, please put the page number which you read up to incase we continue reading at school.

Water Bottles - Please ensure that your child brings a named water bottle to school everyday to have in the classroom with them. This should contain water only, not juice.

Remote Learning

In the event of a school/bubble closure or self-isolation, we will set the children work on the Purple Mash and My Maths programmes, where children will be asked to complete a set of tasks. They will also be given activities to work on in a Maths and English workbook that will be sent home. Children will be notified of the tasks to complete via the school website as they were previously during lockdown. All children have been provided with the login details necessary to access these websites, however if you do need a reminder or any support with using them, please feel free to email your class teacher and we will be happy to help. Reading regularly is vital in practising phonics and early reading skills and should be continued as normal. Please feel free to read a range of books from school or home.
